High-Dose Vitamin C IV in Gainesville, FL

High-dose vitamin C IV therapy for immune support, antioxidant defense, and recovery — physician-formulated at Bespoke Aesthetics.

Why IV Vitamin C, Not Oral?

Oral vitamin C is limited by gastrointestinal absorption. At doses above ~200 mg, absorption efficiency drops sharply, and doses above ~2000 mg cause GI distress in most patients. Plasma levels of vitamin C plateau at around 80–100 μmol/L regardless of how much you take orally.

IV vitamin C bypasses these limits. A 25–50 g IV dose can produce plasma levels 100–200 times higher than oral — into a pharmacological range with distinct biological effects, including pro-oxidant activity in tumor cells (the basis of integrative oncology high-dose vitamin C protocols) and powerful antioxidant support in healthy patients.

High-Dose Vitamin C IV Benefits

Immune support: high-dose vitamin C enhances neutrophil and lymphocyte function. Used for acute illness (cold, flu, COVID), preventive support during high-stress periods, and chronic immune issues.

Antioxidant protection: neutralizes free radicals, protects DNA and cell membranes from oxidative damage. Particularly relevant for high-stress, post-illness, post-toxin exposure, or post-aggressive workout.

Collagen synthesis: vitamin C is essential for collagen production. Skin, joints, and connective tissue benefit. Often combined with microneedling or post-procedure protocols.

Iron absorption: vitamin C dramatically improves iron absorption from food and supplements. Used as adjunct in iron deficiency anemia.

Energy and fatigue: mitochondrial support, improved cellular energy production. Many patients report improved stamina.

Integrative oncology adjunct: high-dose vitamin C IV is used in some integrative oncology protocols. Discuss with your oncologist before adding to cancer treatment.

Vitamin C IV Protocols at Bespoke

Wellness dosing (10–25 g): infused over 60–90 minutes. Used for general antioxidant support, post-illness recovery, athletic recovery, and immune protocols.

High-dose (25–50 g): infused over 90–120 minutes. Used for aggressive immune support, integrative oncology adjunct (with oncologist coordination), or chronic illness protocols.

Frequency: for acute illness or active protocol: 2–3 sessions per week. Maintenance: monthly.

Stacking options: commonly combined with glutathione, NAD+, or Myers cocktail. Glutathione should be given separately or after vitamin C (not co-infused).

Safety & Pre-Treatment Lab Requirements

G6PD screening required: patients with G6PD deficiency can experience hemolysis from high-dose vitamin C. Bespoke screens G6PD before any dose >15 g.

Kidney function: high-dose vitamin C is metabolized to oxalate; severe kidney disease is a contraindication. Standard renal labs at baseline.

Other contraindications: hemochromatosis (iron overload), active kidney stones (oxalate), pregnancy in high doses (data limited).

Side effects: generally well-tolerated. Some patients feel transient warmth or mild fatigue post-infusion. Hydration is important.
