What is GHK-Cu?

GHK-Cu is a tripeptide naturally produced by the body that declines significantly with age. By age 60, GHK-Cu levels drop to less than one-third of youthful levels — contributing to slower wound healing, reduced collagen synthesis, and visible signs of aging. Therapeutic GHK-Cu replaces what aging depletes.

Mechanism of Action

Laboratory research has linked GHK-Cu to activity across a wide range of genes involved in tissue repair, regeneration, and antioxidant defense. That evidence comes largely from cell and animal studies, and how it translates into a therapeutic effect at the doses used clinically has not been established. Key mechanisms include: stimulation of collagen and elastin synthesis, activation of fibroblast growth, anti-inflammatory effects, antioxidant protection from free radicals, support for hair follicle health, and acceleration of wound healing.

What Patients Use It For

Skin rejuvenation: Increased collagen production reduces fine lines, improves skin elasticity, and enhances overall skin quality. Tissue support: GHK-Cu’s wound-healing activity is documented in laboratory and animal research. Whether it measurably speeds recovery from cosmetic procedures such as microneedling or laser treatment in humans has not been established in controlled trials, and we are not going to claim it accelerates your healing until that evidence exists. Hair follicle support: Improves hair density and reduces shedding. Anti-inflammatory: Reduces systemic inflammation. Antioxidant: Protects cells from oxidative damage.

Bespoke’s GHK-Cu Protocol

Dr. Indianos personalizes GHK-Cu based on your goals, baseline labs, and any concurrent treatments. Forms include subcutaneous injection, topical formulations (for skin), and combination protocols stacked with other peptides (BPC-157 for healing, Sermorelin for systemic regeneration). Compounded by U.S. state-licensed 503A pharmacies. Compounded preparations are not FDA approved.

Who is a Candidate?

Adults seeking skin rejuvenation, wound healing support, post-procedure recovery acceleration, hair quality improvement, or comprehensive anti-aging protocols. Contraindications: active malignancy, copper sensitivity, pregnancy/breastfeeding.

Side Effects

GHK-Cu is generally well-tolerated. Possible mild injection site reactions (redness, mild swelling). Rare: mild headache or dizziness. Lab monitoring checks for problems. It does not confirm that the treatment is safe for you in advance, which is why any new or worsening symptom should be reported right away.
